    Begin by gathering some jars and the ingredients. Follow the recipe above for filling your jars with the dry ingredients for the cookies. Add a bow and a gift tag with directions. We have printable gift tags with instructions that you may add to your finished jars.

    Print the jar tags:

    Additional supplies needed for using the gift jars: 1/2 cup softened butter, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Usually the person receiving the gift jar will already have these items on hand for making the cookies with the dry ingredients you provide.
