    Pumpkin Painting Tips

    One of our family Fall traditions is going to the pumpkin patch. We go to a Wisconsin farm market called Skelly's where we enjoy a pumpkin spice cappuccino, freshly baked pumpkin donuts, apple cider donuts, play some family games, see the corn maze, go on a tractor ride, and we also pick out pumpkins to decorate. I think we have only carved one of them because my daughters usually paint cute faces on them.

This is a wonderful learning activity to add to your daily routine for September. It is great for learning to read a calendar, learning numbers, using hand-eye coordination, and memorizing the days of the week. You could also use it for planning a schedule with your child, or talk about setting goals and working towards them.
